What is Hollywood Video Express?
Hollywood Video Express is a convenient DVD or Game kiosk that is always open. It is like an ATM for DVDs or Games.
How much does it cost to rent?
Prices are clearly posted on each Hollywood Video Express kiosk. There is a rate for an initial rental period and a rate for each additional rental period(s). Your credit or debit card will be charged the initial rental amount upon dispense of the DVD or Game. Upon return of the rental product to the kiosk, your credit or debit card will be charged for the additional rental period(s) you used. Upon your rental charges reaching $19.99 for movies, or $49.99 for games, Hollywood will automatically convert your rental to a purchase and the DVD or Game is yours to keep.
Do I need a membership to rent from Hollywood Video Express?
No. Anyone with a credit or debit card can rent. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Can I pay with cash?
Not yet, but we are working to make this possible.
How many DVDs or Games can I rent at one time?
You can rent up to 4 items.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes, the information is encrypted and a secure network is used to process your payment.
Can I return the DVD or Game to a Hollywood Video store?
No. Please return the Hollywood Video Express rental product to the Hollywood Video Express kiosk where it was originally rented. To return a rental product, touch the screen and then press the Rental Return button.
Can I rent from one Hollywood Video Express location and return to a different location?
Not yet, but we are working to make this possible.
I just tried returning my rental product and the kiosk will not accept it. What do I do?
Please make sure it is a Hollywood Video Express rental and that it is in the Hollywood Video Express rental case. If you require further assistance, please call Customer Relations at 877-244-6684.
The kiosk will not take my credit or debit card. What do I do?
Try a different card or call Customer Relations at 877-244-6684.
I just completed a rental transaction but did not get my DVD or Game. What do I do?
You will not be charged until the rental product is dispensed. Try your transaction again or call Customer Relations at 877-244-6684.
What do I do if the DVD or Game I rent is scratched or damaged?
Call Customer Relations at 877-244-6684. A credit can be issued to your card upon return of the rental. When calling, please have the rental product, your credit or debit card and location of the Hollywood Video Express kiosk where the rental product was rented.
What are the Hollywood Video Express Terms and Conditions?
When you rent or purchase a product from this Hollywood Video Express kiosk you acknowledge that:
- You are 18 years of age or older;
- That the credit or debit card you are using is legally issued to you; and
- You agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
You agree to be responsible for and guarantee payment to Hollywood Entertainment Corporation (Hollywood) of all charges related to the rental or purchase of DVD or Game products. If you rent product, you will be initially charged the rental price shown on the shopping cart screen for the number of days specified at the time of rental (“Rental Period”).
All rental products must be returned to the location where they were originally rented. If a rental product is not returned by midnight on the due date, the Rental Period is extended for an additional Rental Period as specified at the initial time of rental. Upon return of the rental product to the kiosk, your debit or credit card will be assessed additional rental charge(s) as specified at the initial time of rental (“Additional Rental Charge”). You are responsible for paying the Additional Rental Charge for each additional Rental Period, even if the rental product is returned before the expiration of the additional Rental Period. When your rental charges reach $19.99 or more for movies, or $49.99 or more for games, Hollywood will automatically convert the rental to a purchase.
You authorize Hollywood to retain the credit or debit card information provided and submit credit or debit card charge slips and/or electronic payments using any credit card or debit card information provided in collection of amounts owing, including amounts owing for failure to return rental product or damage to rental product.
When you voluntarily request an email receipt, you consent to receive electronic communications from Hollywood or its affiliates that may include product specials, discounts and promotions.
You agree to hold Hollywood and its associates harmless from any damage or loss to any person or property arising out of the use of any product purchased or rented.
Hollywood may change these Terms and Conditions at any time and any new terms and conditions shall be effective upon the first product rented or purchased after any such change.
